Taking a Lesson
When can I skate?
You can skate on the Toyota Arena "Practice Ice" sessions and "Everyone Public Skate." Skaters over 18 years of age can also skate on the Arena's "Adult Public Skate." Cost is $8 per session. Find the schedule here.
How do I start group lessons?
Register for group lessons with the Toyota Arena Skating School. Lessons are held Monday and Thursday evening from 5:45-6:45. Lessons include Arena rental skates. Extra practice time on Arena public and practice ice will help you improve faster, see the schedule here.

Contact one of the above coaches and arrange a lesson time on Arena "Practice Ice," or "Public Skate." Lesson fees for 15 to 30 minute lessons range between $50 - $65 per hour, payable directly to your coach. For example, a 15 minute lesson will cost between $12.50 and $16.25, depending on the instructor. $8 session fee is payable to the Arena.
Instructors certified by USFS complete annual continuing education courses, carry instructor's insurance, complete Safesport Training, and agree to the Professional Skater's Association (PSA) Code of Ethics and Tenets of Professionalism.
Can I Compete in Figure Skating?
Yes! The TCFSC hosts one competition each year, usually in the Spring or Summer. Look for updates on our website and tell your coach you're interested in competing. Your first competition will be a "Compete USA" competition. The USFS chart of competitive levels is here.
